Greg’s Elder Care Support Story

Greg’s Elder Care Support Story

In this yarn with Tess Peters, Orange Aboriginal Medical Service Community Connector for Healthy Ageing, Greg reflects on how support from the Elder Care Support program helped him through health and personal challenges, including finding stable housing and connecting with community.

Greg says support helped improve his wellbeing, confidence, and outlook on life – helping him keep moving “up and up and up.”

“I felt reassured that I was in a good place, and in a community place.”

The Elder Care Support Program provides support, connection, and coordination of access to aged care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Ensuring that our Elders, older Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their families receive the support they need to understand, navigate, and access aged care services.
