The Role: 

As the Cultural Team Lead – Aboriginal Health Care Coordination you will provide operational leadership and management to a dedicated team of Aboriginal Health practitioners, Aboriginal Health workers and Registered nurses ensuring high-quality, culturally safe patient care across the District. You will coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Northern Aboriginal Health Team, supporting Rural services within the Peel, Tablelands and MEHI regions. The Cultural Team Leader will work in partnership with the Clinical Lead to support team-based healthcare services for patients, within the Aboriginal Care Coordination Service. The Aboriginal Health Team is supported by the Aboriginal Health Leadership team with Cultural supervision and professional development opportunities encouraged.

You are a highly organised and proactive individual with excellent communication and time management skills. Your connection to community and culture, with the implicit understanding of how to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within their kinship relationship of family, friends and land is vital in this role.
