About the role
The HR Manager is responsible for crafting a positive and productive work environment by overseeing the entire employee experience, from recruitment to development. This role focuses on nurturing both the individual and the organisation. The HR Manager achieves this through strategic talent management and acquisition, ensuring fair implementation of workplace regulations, and strategic workforce planning.
As a key player shaping AMS Redfern’s culture and strategic direction, the HR Manager works collaboratively with the Governance and Corporate Services Manager to guarantee smooth operation of HR processes and deliver exceptional HR services to all employees.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Act as the subject matter expert to provide advice and guidance and work on strategic initiatives including; Recruitment, Learning and Development, Workplace Health and Safety, Workers Compensation, HR Systems and Payroll Services.
- Support day-to-day processing of HR administration duties pertaining to recruitment, on boarding, maintain the HR database, leave processing and reporting, learning and development, and off boarding
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees seeking assistance with HR-related inquiries, including questions about company policies, procedures, benefits, and employment matters.
- Assist in resolving employee and industrial relations matters within AMS by conducting investigations, gathering relevant information, and collaborating with the Executive Team and other stakeholders to identify appropriate solutions driving outcomes and mitigating risk.
- Coordinate reviews of existing policy and management systems to facilitate organisational improvement.
Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources (minimum bachelor’s degree)
- Valid Working With Children Check, National Police Check and evidence of health vaccinations.
- 7+ years’ relevant human resources experience.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
- Hands on experience in the areas of recruitment, performance management, succession planning and driving HR initiatives.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and HRIS systems.
