We are looking for an enthusiastic, patient-focused General Practitioner to join our team and help continue our legacy of excellence.
About the Role:
As a General Practitioner (GP) at Limestone Coast Health Hub, you will work in a supportive and collaborative environment, providing high-quality medical care across a broad range of specialties, including chronic disease management, antenatal and women’s health, immunizations, mental health, aged care, and skin cancer. This role offers minimal supervision (Level 3), providing you with the autonomy to work independently while still having access to the support of experienced colleagues when needed.
With flexible hours and a starting hourly rate of $190 per hour, this position is perfect for a GP looking for a fulfilling role with a great work-life balance in the beautiful Limestone Coast region.
Key Responsibilities:
Comprehensive Patient Care: Deliver high-quality care across a variety of medical specialties, including chronic disease management, antenatal and women’s health, mental health, aged care, and skin cancer.
Clinical Procedures: Perform minor procedures such as skin checks and biopsies, wound care, and immunizations.
Patient Relationships: Build lasting relationships with patients by providing holistic, patient-centered care and support.
Collaboration with Healthcare Professionals: Work closely with nurses and allied health professionals to provide well-rounded care for patients.
Accurate Documentation: Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely patient records using the clinic’s medical software.
Ongoing Education: Stay current with medical advancements and participate in professional development opportunities.
Essential Criteria:
General Registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
Comfortable with minimal supervision (Level 2) and able to work independently.
Previous experience as a General Practitioner in diverse medical settings, with a focus on patient care.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to connect with patients and their families.
A compassionate and holistic approach to healthcare.
Ability to work in a close-knit team environment and contribute to a positive practice culture.
Desirable Attributes:
Interest or experience in rural and regional healthcare.
Familiarity with chronic disease management and skin cancer procedures.
Experience in women’s health, antenatal care, or mental health is a plus.
Previous experience in a small family-run practice is advantageous but not required.
