0111285 Administration Officer – Aboriginal Health Lismore

  • Part time (0.6FTE) fixed term role for 12 months with opportunity for extension
  • Opportunity to provide high level administrative support to the Aboriginal Health Program in Lismore
  • Base Salary $83,384 – $93,362 (pro-rata) + 17% superannuation

Great opportunity for an experienced Administration Officer to provide high level administrative support to the Aboriginal Health Program. This support includes preparing documents, responding to complex queries, exploring matters, and sourcing solutions for the work area. As the Administration Officer, you may be required to provide guidance and support to more junior administrative staff, utilising their administrative experience and judgement, helping to analyse matters and provide advice on policy and procedures for the delivery of work outcomes.

You will get an opportunity to put into practice your comprehensive administrative experience and knowledge of organisational and sector issues to determine priorities related to the key accountabilities within the scope of the role. The Administration Officer will identify and discuss matters requiring the attention of the Manager, Education Support ensuring that all matters are dealt with in a timely manner.

 

About you

 

 

  • are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, in accordance with the University of Sydney Confirmation of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Identity Policy
  • experience in providing high level administrative assistance
  • experience working in the higher education/tertiary sector or at a complex, multi-faceted organisation
  • ability to work both independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and exercising sound judgement
  • advanced computer skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including extensive diary management experience
  • excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience in handling a wide range of enquiries and providing excellent customer service
  • well-developed negotiation, conflict resolution, relationship building and influencing skills
  • are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, in accordance with the University of Sydney Confirmation of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Identity Policy

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the reasons for the position.
