Why Your Role Matters:

The Administrative Officer is an identified role, as Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander. This position is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants only.

As an Administrative Officer, you will play a key role providing effective administrative support to the Point-of-Care testing (POCT) program. Working closely with the logistics team, you will provide a responsive and efficient customer service to the POCT clinics in remote locations across Australia. The position will undertake a broad range of administrative functions to support operations and supply-chain as directed by the Project Manager (Logistics and Operations).

Who You Are:

  • Work experience in a similar administrative position and/or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through a degree or diploma. Experience in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health, public or primary health care settings is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience providing administrative support in a fast paced and complex environment with the ability to work well under pressure, with high level attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service, with a positive and flexible attitude, adjusting to shifting priorities as required to meet deadlines and manage workloads.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to liaise with a diverse group of people from varying backgrounds.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team, but also take initiative and work independently to manage competing demands.
  • Highly proficient computer skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Previous experience supporting purchasing and processing of payments is desirable.
  • Experience in the health sector, academic or research environment would be highly regarded.
