Communications Manager
The Coalition of Peaks is a representative body of over seventy Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community controlled peak organisations and members who have come together as an act of self-determination.We share a belief that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people should have a meaningful say on policies and programs related to Closing the Gap through formal partnerships with Australian governments at all levels. As our journey continues, the Coalition of Peaks Secretariat are now looking for Senior Policy Advisors to advance the objectives of the Coalition of Peaks.A Policy and Secretariat Team to support the work of the Coalition of Peaks has been established and is hosted by the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (NACCHO). The Policy and Secretariat Team provides high level and comprehensive policy and strategic advice to the Coalition of Peaks. Its objective is to support the Coalition in achieving a new Closing the Gap Agreement that allows representatives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples full involvement in its development and implementation. The team will be expanding to increase the capacity to provide support to our increasing Peak membership.The Communications Manager is responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategic communication plans and wide promotion of the National Agreement on Closing the Gap. Based in Canberra or working remotely, this role will suit a Communications Manager with a strong track record.Applications close at midnight on Sunday, 20 February 2022.
