Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence Coordinator (50D)

The Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence Coordinator is primarily responsible for supporting the development and implementation of Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence practice in the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Sector and will build the capacity and monitor the performance of the Aboriginal Health Services in the delivery of the Capacity Building: Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence Support in WA ACCHS Pilot Project.

 

This funding will build on and complement existing efforts to provide comprehensive services to Aboriginal communities by supporting the safety and wellbeing of Aboriginal people affected by FDSV and promote community safety.

This opportunity is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants only, and is in accordance with section 50(d) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (WA).

 

The successful candidate will possess a relevant degree in Social Work, Community Development or related undergraduate or post-graduate qualification or equivalent experience in the Domestic and Family Violence context as a case manager / counsellor, coupled with demonstrated theoretical understanding and knowledge of family, domestic and sexual violence in an Aboriginal Australian cultural context.
