Are you an experienced General Practitioner seeking an engaging role in remote healthcare?

Sunrise Health ServiceĀ (Sunrise) is actively searching for skilled General Practitioners to become part of their dedicated teams across remote clinics.

With a rich history, Sunrise is the second-largest Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation in the Northern Territory.

Sunrise clinics span 9 remote communities to the east of Katherine, serving a population of around 3,800, with many of residents facing chronic illnesses that necessitate early detection and comprehensive care.

Whatā€™s the role?

As a Sunrise General Practitioner, youā€™ll participate in 3-week stints in towns like Barunga, Wugularr (Beswick), Manyallaluk (Eva Valley), Bulman, Weemol, Mataranka, Jilkminggan, Minyerri, Ngukurr, and Urapunga (Rittarangu); while providing:

  • Primary General Practice services

  • Skill sharing and support within a collaborative team

  • Participation in vital primary health care initiatives and community consultations

  • Between visits, youā€™ll regroup at the Sunrise Katherine office

What do you need to apply?

  • Specialist General Practitioner registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

  • Fellowship with RACGP or ACCRM

  • Diverse experience in primary health care, suitable for a rural/remote context

  • A profound understanding and dedication to the principles of Aboriginal community-controlled primary health care delivery
