About Us Established in 1991, Danila Dilba Health Service is a community organisation providing comprehensive primary health care to Biluru communities in the Yilli Rreung Region of the Northern Territory. We aim to improve the physical, mental, spiritual, cultural and social wellbeing of our clients through innovative comprehensive programs based on principles of equity, access, empowerment, determination and collaboration. Some of your responsibilities include:  Providing best practice, evidence based acute care including emergency care according to CARPA guidelines,  Maintain clinic emergency room to DDHS and AGPAL standards.  Collaboration with members of the DDHS multidisciplinary team and external services to facilitate care and follow up of clients to support optimal health outcomes, including recalls where required.  Provide education, mentoring of trainees and in-services as required on topics relating to the acute and emergency care;  Assist GP’s and other medical staff with procedures/office tests including but not limited to ECG, Spirometry etc  Screen patients, attend health check and assist in the provision of chronic care as required.  Management of acute and chronic, simple and complex wounds.  Liaise and attend school health check program as required Are you the right person? You will have:  Current registration as a Nurse with AHPRA;  Relevant Bachelor’s Degree and/or Post Graduate Certificate in Nursing  Demonstrated knowledge and experience in acute and/or emergency care;  Demonstrated knowledge and experience working in cannulation and venipuncture;  Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, liaison, negotiation and conflict resolution with people from a wide range of cultural and social backgrounds;  Demonstrated awareness of and sensitivity to Aboriginal culture and history and knowledge of issues impacting on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples;  Ability to work independently, and as a member of a team, with strong organisational skills and demonstrated ability to plan, manage and prioritise tasks;  Demonstrated high level computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Word and Excel (or similar) as well as the ability to use clinical practice software.  Demonstrated high standard of written skills in the preparation of detailed reports, general correspondence and documentations with an understanding of confidentiality.
