Rumbalara Aboriginal Co-Operative – Engagement & Family services now have the following vacancy based at our Mooroopna office

 

Key Worker – Targeted Care Packages (TCP)

Full time – 38 Hours per week

 

Role purpose:

The Key Worker is responsible for providing case management and support to children and young people who are subject to a Targeted Care Packages and ensure their ongoing safety, stability and developmental needs are met.

 

Who we are looking for

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community including issues that have an impact on the safety and wellbeing of Aboriginal children and young people, including intergenerational trauma.
  • Knowledge and demonstrable experience in delivering innovative and effective approaches for children and young people with complex needs.
  • An understanding of the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005, DFFH policies and procedures regarding leaving care, case planning including related framework such as “Looking after Children” and “Cultural Support Plans”.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work closely with Child Protection, as well as a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • A tertiary level qualification in Social Work, Youth Work, Community Services or other related field. However, applicants working towards qualification and with relevant experience may be considered at an unqualified rate.

 

The successful applicant will be subject to comprehensive reference checks and will need to provide: 

A National Police Check, Working with Children Check and evidence of COVID-19 Vaccination status.
