Immunisations
Working in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to support the delivery of culturally safe, community-led responses to vaccine-preventable diseases.
What we do
NACCHO works with Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs) to support communities to increase vaccine uptake and reduce the burden of vaccine-preventable disease.
Our Vaccination Uptake Support Program provided funding to 123 ACCHOs and 4 affiliate organisations to empower communities to ake control of their immunisation needs.
Our impact
- Funded 123 ACCHOs to develop community-based immunisation programs.
- Increased the number of staff who are accredited immunisers at ACCHOs.
