A free six-month program, the NACCHO Antimicrobial Stewardship Academy is aimed at health workers or health professionals working in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health sector.
Victorian Aboriginal Health Service (VAHS) Pharmacist, Tinu Abraham said she “really enjoyed” participating in the AMS Academy in 2025.
“I especially valued gaining a deeper understanding of One Health in relation to antimicrobials, as well as the different patterns of antimicrobial resistance seen across communities in Australia.
“The program has strengthened my ability to communicate antimicrobial resistance to colleagues and clients more effectively.”
