Quality Use of Medicines Alliance
What we do
NACCHO is a member of the Quality Use of Medicines Alliance (QUM Alliance). The aim is to take a consortium approach for collective impact on national health topics. The role of the NACCHO medicines team is to provide expertise to optimize the impact for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and inform targeted resource development. The work is guided by the Good Medicine Better Health Advisory group.
The Quality Use of Medicines Alliance is a unique consortium of health sector organisations representing quality use of medicines expertise, education providers, researchers, colleges, peak bodies, member-based organisations, and consumer groups.
The QUM Alliance was formed in 2023 to address national health priorities with national programs of health professional education and consumer health literacy. It is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing
Access to the learning activities and resources are available through QHUB These include the educational visiting program, peer-group learning, practice audits, shared decision making tools and CPD/E accredited programs.
