NACCHO is assisted in its leadership of the Sector by 8 Affiliate organisations across the States and Territories.
Each Affiliate supports the ACCHOs in their jurisdiction through the provision of support and practical advice in the areas of organisational governance and services, continuous quality improvement (CQI) accreditation, program implementation and work health and safety. Affiliates facilitate partnerships between the ACCHOs in their jurisdiction to foster knowledge transfer and planning at a state and territory level and lead their jurisdictions in the application of national policy.
Affiliates lead jurisdictional cooperation between the ACCHOs, government and the public health sector, working to improve the responsiveness, quality and access to culturally appropriate public health services. They provide input to national policy through their grass-roots connectivity to community through the ACCHOSs.
